At the Varða Atelier, we do not design for seasons; we design for decades. Every piece in our archive is a landmark of structural integrity, engineered with an 8-stitch-per-inch standard and high-grade vegetable-tanned leather. Because we believe in the permanence of our craft, we stand behind the structural soul of every wallet we create.
The Structural Guarantee
We provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the structural integrity of all Varða leather goods. This covers:
• Stitching: Any failure in the hand-finished seams or structural threads.
• Hardware: Any functional failure of integrated components (if applicable to future designs).
Construction: Any separation of leather layers due to a manufacturing oversight.
The Patina Exception
Varða wallets are living objects. Our vegetable-tanned leather is designed to darken, soften, and evolve. As such, the following are considered "Character," not "Defects":
- Natural Evolution: Changes in color, texture, or the development of a rich patina.
- Surface Scars: Natural marks or grain variations inherent to full-grain hide.
- Daily Wear: Scratches, stretching, or softening that occurs through the journey of daily use.
- External Trauma: Damage caused by chemicals, fire, water submersion, or "unnatural" stress (e.g., a dog chewing the leather).
The Repair Protocol
If your Varða piece suffers a structural failure, we will first attempt to repair the item at our US hub to maintain the piece's history. If a repair is not architecturally sound, we will replace the item with a new edition from the same archive.
